The Executive Chairman, Atar Communications Nigeria Ltd, (owners of the Group of Liberty TV & FM Radio stations), Alh. (Dr.) Ahmed Tijjani Ramalan, has emerged as the winner for the ”Media Personality of the Year 2021 Leadership Excellence Award‘, by Igbere TV, organisers of the award event.

According to the voting result for the category, Dr. Ramalan polled 32,158 votes out of the total votes of 93,027 cast, to beat Nduka Obaigbena, Chairman/Editor-in-Chief, ThisDay newspapers, who scored 23,556 votes.
Broadcast journalist and Chairman and CEO of Channels Television, John Momoh, got the third position, securing 22,448 votes, while media mogul and philanthropist, Mo Abudu, trailed by 14,865 votes.

The prestigious Igbere TV Leadership & Excellence Awards is the nation’s well-publicised and most anticipated media award event, organised by the foremost African community TV/Online News platform, Igbere Television.
The Leadership Excellence Awards recognises and honours the outstanding impacts of leaders across several sectors and industries in Nigeria.
The Awards is endorsed by the African Union Economic, Social and Cultural Council, (AU-ECOSOCC), an advisory body of the African Union, (AU), designed to give Civil Society Organisations, (CSOs) a voice within the AU institutions and decision-making processes.
The 2021 Awards ceremony is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, November 2nd, at the Sheraton Hotels, Abuja.
Recall that the 2020 edition of the awards ceremony witnessed distinguished and prominent captains of industry, public figures and leaders cling on to the various award categories.
